Give the rabies vaccination after the microchip is in place — a vaccine given first is legally invalid.

No rabies antibody titer test is required: the United States is a listed low-risk third country.

Have a USDA-accredited (Category II) veterinarian complete the non-commercial EU Health Certificate for France and submit it through VEHCS.

Breed & airline warnings
Category 1 (attack dogs without recognised pedigree) are completely banned from entry.
Category 2 (guard and defence dogs with official pedigree papers) require behavioural assessment and an ownership permit.
